The Running Clinic decided to implement SmellWell inserts in their shoe section. They placed a display of SmellWell inserts near the shoe section as well as on the counter and trained their sales associates to offer them to customers who were purchasing shoes. RESULTS
After implementing SmellWell inserts, The Running Clinic saw a significant increase in their add-on sales. Customers were happy to purchase the inserts, and many even purchased multiple sets to use with different pairs of shoes. The store also received positive feedback from customers who appreciated the added benefit of keeping their shoes fresh and odor-free. The sales associates also reported that they found it easier to upsell the SmellWell inserts, as they were a practical and affordable solution for customers.
The Running Clinic sells about 600 pairs of shoes per month and are currently selling a pair of SmellWell to every third customer that buys a pair of new running shoes. This gives them an additional sales of 31200 USD per year with a profit of 15600 USD.
